For the first time in four years, I boarded a plane without Nathan. It’s been strange to travel without him this week. I’ve been visiting the West Virginia crew to help a bit in the wake of Miss Daisy’s arrival. All is good. Mom and baby are healthy and happy and so is everyone else (although there is a round of stuffy noses and coughing going around the house, but nothing serious).
It was Piper’s fourth birthday this week, so we’ve had fun celebrating with some treats and gifts. There was also the ceremonial passing down of the little dirt bike from Huck to Piper, so she’s learning to ride. He got the next size, so there’s been some fun buzzing around in the yard. Poor Hugh just desperately wants to get in on the action, but he had a good time today riding with his dad.
Bo and his brother Tye worked together (with some help from Tye’s boys) to fix the drainage around he driveway and put in some new gravel. This involved machinery, so Huck and Hugh were in heaven for a couple days.
It’s been really nice to be here since this newborn stage doesn’t last very long. Daisy is already starting to be awake more and she’s changing. I have a few more days here, then it’s back to Utah to reunite with Nathan and pack for our next big adventure. We have five destinations coming this spring. Comment below with your guesses!

Some History and Lots of Time with the Kiddos

Just a quick post this week from Missouri. It’s rare for us to have a week when we can snuggle all the grandkids in a 7-day span, but this week it happened! We also visited the historic Blennerhasset Island in the middle of the Ohio River.

Hello! It’s been a few weeks since I wrote a proper post, so I thought I would give you an update on some of our adventures since returning to the U.S. Next week, I’ll be answering questions, so send me your burning queries.
